Sr. Technology Specialist

Details: Job:  Information Technology The Senior Technology Specialist implements and supports a broad range of IT&S equipment for the HCA Medicare Service Center (MSC). This position is responsible for installation, monitoring, break fix and administration of servers; network administration; desktop support; telecom; and access control.The Senior Technology Specialist is responsible for information security and smooth, reliable operation; develops documentation and assists in the creation of repeatable and reliable processes; assists with IT&S project planning and strategic planning; and supplements or supports other technical resources, as needed. On-call support may be required. This position adheres to and supports HCA IT policies and procedures. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:?Ensure server and network are maintained and operated in a secure manner.?Ensure server and network operate at a high level of reliability and availability.?Develop IT&S processes and written procedures.?Participate in IT&S project and strategic planning.?Implement and support broad range of IT&S equipment including, but not limited to, servers, workstations, telecom, switches, printers, cabling, and access control.?Server and database backup and tape rotation.?Ensure critical and security related software patches are applied in a timely manner.?Ensure anti-virus updates and scans are performed in a timely manner.?Provision desktop tools as needed for MSC staff.?Provide helpdesk support to MSC staff.?Provide on-call support as needed to assist with troubleshooting, escalation, or recovery of failing systems.?Willing to work after hours or weekends as needed to perform necessary off-hours maintenance.?Develop and maintain procedures and documentation related to IT operations.?Adheres to and supports HCA IT&S standards, policies, and procedures.?Maintains and protects confidentiality with regard to all aspects of patient care.?Adheres to Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.?Performs other duties as assigned.
