This team is challenged daily to provide cutting edge technology solutions to our clients.Primary Duties, Responsibilities, & Essential Job Functions:GENERAL DESCRIPTION:SRC employs Network Administrators in various programs.For the JEOD VSAT Program, this specific position requires "System Administration," vice solely "Network Administration."PRIMARY DUTIES:Support current and future efforts to establish the installation, operation and maintenance of the CMSS Hub and NOC:Provide support to CMSS Hub configurations, and provide input to support development of the CMSS Hub and NOC capacities.Provide technical support to revise existing drawings and procedures, database management and administrative support services for the CMSS Hub and NOC.RESPONSIBILITIES:The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.This individual is accountable for the following systems: Linux and Windows systems that support GIS infrastructure; Linux, Windows and Application systems that support Asset Management; Responsibilities on these systems include SA engineering and provisioning, operations and support, maintenance and research and development to ensure continual innovation.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Provide integration, configuration, operation, maintenance, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, documentation and management of the JEOD VSAT CONUS network and communications infrastructure:Install and maintain hardware and software products.Assist in maintaining continuity of service for all network users.Provide software and hardware technical support to users as needed.Additional, detailed tasks as specified in DO N65236-07-D-5882/0394.Assists in network administration regarding user accounts and access rights.Set up and/or terminates user accounts following policy and procedure, grants access rights to users, and assists in changes to accounts and user rights.Scientific Research Corporation offers a competitive salary, an extensive benefits package and a work environment that encourages excellence.
