Director of Information Technology

Details: Mike's Carwash has a rare opening at our northeast Indianapolis support center for a Director of IT. This position exists to insure continuous and secure business operation and to provide leadership in the application of information technology to improve and enhance the organization’s business operations and financial performance. The Information Technology Director oversees all system applications, vendor relationships, business processes as they relate to our applications, and all of the organization’s information resources including staff, network, hardware and software utilization and expenditures. 1)    Execute the Mike’s Mission, achieve our Vision and deliver on our Team Member Promise – Your primary responsibility is to ensure that your team is helping us achieve and deliver on the following... Reward Exceptional Performance – Writing thank you notes, handing out gift cards or other tokens of appreciation is a great way to reinforce positive behavior and encourage performance that is crucial to our success.   Positively Reinforce ‘In the Loop’ Communication – After personally watching each edition of “In the Loop’, you will reference the concepts with your Team Members to inspire good feelings and provide an ongoing infusion of our culture. 3)    Insure continuous and secure system operation  Monitor system operations and network performance Ensure integrity and periodically test the integrity of backup operations Achieve and maintain payment card industry data security standards (PCI-DSS) compliance Monitor and administer access rights to the organization’s information resources Install application patches and release upgrades on a timely basis Develop and keep updated an appropriate disaster recovery plan 4)    Provide superior customer service through the IT end-user support functions  Rapidly resolve customer service issues Log issues and evaluate for trends and proactive preventive measures Install and maintain end user equipment at all locations Provide excellent customer service Support the video security system as required 5)    Manage and leverage IT vendor relationships  Conduct periodic reviews of current applications with the source vendor(s) highlighting the organization’s needs and making implementation recommendations Leverage the vendor relationships wherever possible to the organization’s benefit 6)    Provide organization support and leadership in the evaluation, selection and deployment of new technologies  Ensure cost/benefit analysis is performed Manage the selection / negotiation / implementation process 7)    Work with the organization to review, design and implement process improvements  Learn and maintain an understanding of the core business processes Working with management, identify business processes for improvement Design and implement identified business process improvements 8)    Manage the IT resources to facilitate best use of the IT investment  Monitor information resource investments utilization and available capacity Prepare, monitor and manage the department’s budget and expenditures 9)    Hire, guide, coach and mentor the IT staff  Manage the IT staff’s responsibilities, assignment and activities Ensure productive utilization of the department’s resources Provide staff development, including business operations understanding Work to select optimum staff members and minimize staff turnover  Interested and qualified applicants should apply at www.mikes.jobs
