Details: A great organization in the heart of downtown Chicago is looking for a Data Center Engineer Team Lead to join their team on a full-time basis!The ideal candidate must be hands on and willing to "get in the trenches" with fellow engineers!Responsibilities: Manage, measure, mentor, and lead the Data Center Engineering team Maintain integrity of global data centers Assist with maintaining cooling, UPS, KVM/IP, building systems, and other data center equipment Produce and maintain data center documentation within DCM tool including rack elevations, port allocation, and connectivity Assist with all aspects of Data Center work, including: rack and cable servers and other equipment, perform network infrastructure cabling, and planning, budgeting, construction, and turn up of new facilities, and maintenance of existing facilities Set standards of excellence for all data center operations Participate in an on-call rotation shared with other engineers Monitor environmental conditions of all data centers Provide measurements on performance of all facilities from data center perspective Advise management of potential technical issues with data center facilities
