Network Security Analyst

Details: Network Security Analyst: The Network Security Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring a strong security posture through the continuous monitoring, expert analysis of data, and immediate response to potential security threats. This includes gathering, investigating, and analyzing security related events from multiple sources to include firewall, intrusion detection, host intrusion prevention, and others. Analysts will be working in a very dynamic environment where the ability to critically think and multitask are essential. Key Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Technicians will provide first level response to all security related incidents. 2. 24 X 7 X 365 coverage working days, nights and weekends on a rotating basis, incorporating a mix between 8 hr and 12 hr shifts. 3. Real Time monitoring of multiple security technologies to include Intrusions Detection, Anti-Virus, Firewall Alerts, etc. 4. Initial response to security related questions and incidents. 5. Optimizing current security related products to increase response time and effectiveness. 6. Occasional administration and problem resolution of security related equipment as needed with vendor assistance. 7. Work with team to refine current documented processes to ensure efficiencies and develop new documentation when applicable. 8. Gather intelligence about security related threats and disseminate information as appropriate 9. Participate in security assignments using specifications assigned by senior team members. Apply basic understanding of security issues to assignments. 10. Employees issue daily turnover reports and update tickets on issues. 11. Discuss security topics competently with team members and makes recommendations based on options presented. 12. Responsible for initiatives that build and enhance knowledge of information security areas across the client. 13. Maintains a high level of awareness about the external and internal client environment and how these factors impact the client and its security posture. 14. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: This Network Security Analyst position requires a broad understanding of network operations and networking concepts to include TCP/IP, DNS and Network Data Flow Network Analysis and troubleshooting skills required Demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving, and functional area knowledge General knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Unix systems is required The Analyst will need to confidently investigate a security alert and provide either a resolution or escalate a detailed analysis to senior security staff Ability to multi-task Ability to communicate clearly and concisely Network Administration (Firewall, Router and Switch configuration) Desired Qualifications: Data Center / Server / NOC experience - Preferred Server Build experience (UNIX and Windows) Preferred Hardware Experience Preferred Education: Four or more years of related experience, a Bachelor degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience Desired Certifications: Network+,Security +,CEH, CCNA, CISSP Preferred This is a long term consulting assignment, first leg being 6 months, but this will be an ongoing project. SAP ERP Security Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.   Specific responsibilities will include the following; Responsible for Service Level for security support and project delivery across all Supply Chain environments within the region. Responsible for Quality and Compliance across all Supply Chain environments within the region, as it pertains to assuring delivery to defined standards within the security and authorizations space. Provide thought leadership in areas of strategy and design for Security and authorizations management. All aspects of Roles design, creation and association with transaction codes in the areas of ECC, EP, SCM, APO, CRM, SNC, XI, BW etc. Definition of SAP Authorization concept, authorization profile, and segregation of duty. All aspects of systems Security monitoring. including: systems Logs, security Logs, user access, and BASIS user groups, monitoring SAP AIS profiles. Ensure all security procedures (auditing/monitoring activities) follow CSV guidelines and SOX compliance. Partner with Functional teams on all Service Delivery and Service Management Security deliverables. Partner with J&J Quality and Compliance on all compliance related deliverables. Provide guidance to peers, junior team members, external consultants, and co-ops. Accountable for all metrics as it pertains to SAP Security and Risk Management. Accountable for SOD analysis reporting for all Supply Chain platforms. Responsible for creating an environment where knowledge and ideas are shared among team members and other J&J organizations. Ensure that security is considered and emphasized in all IM designs and development.
