Network Analyst (PA12164)

Details: The primary focus of the duties of the Network Analyst is to provide leadership, planning, implementation, maintenance and support of the Aqua America Infrastructure. The responsibilities include servers – domain controllers, various application servers, file servers, print servers, MS Exchange (hardware and software), all aspects of E-mail administration including Blackberry, Symantec Backups, SAN technologies, VMware, Citrix, Anti Virus and MS OS patch application.1. Provide system administration to insure the appropriate installation, support and maintenance of operating systems, and other related systems software. Manage the up time and operations of primary computer systems. Technologies supported include primarily Dell hardware on Windows platform with a blended infrastructure of virtual and physical technologies.2. Support the day-to-day operations of the Aqua America network infrastructure.3. Assist in the development and implementation of the Information Technology strategies and facilitate such initiatives as they relate to the Company’s enterprise infrastructure.4. Work within the Aqua America Infrastructure support team to facilitate problem resolution and define technology standards.5. Provide system performance reports to management as required.6. Provide capacity planning for the effective use of current systems and plan for the future growth of the corporation. Support the company’s plans for system consolidation and standardization.7. Must participate in yearly disaster recovery exercises.8. Participate in planning and provide project management for corporate initiatives and acquisitions.9. Provide Level II support for the Information Services Help Desk as required.10. In coordination with the IS Security Administrator, ensure that all system activity is monitored for possible violations and/or breaches of security of corporate computers and/or networks, whether such violations come from within the corporation or outside the corporation.11. Participate in the `on-call manager' 24 hour-a-day, 7 day-a-week program to support computer operations and customers during non-business hours.12. Provide for IS Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance related to project management, change management and security.13. Support the planning, coordination and implementation of upgrading and/or installation of various Business Applications.14. Assist in monitoring daily backups of corporate servers.15. Support all aspect of E-mail including Antivirus, Anti Spam, and Blackberry Enterprise Server.16. Assist in server and workstation Antivirus implementation and support.
